Born into a family of designers, artists, and writers in San Diego, it is no wonder Shannon Stevenson chose a path in art and design. She proved to possess artistic talent, creating mature photo realistic works at an early age that gathered respect from established artists. Following a family tradition of design, Shannon proceeded to study clothing design and pattern drafting in college. Moving to San Francisco in 1993, she worked in the fashion industry for a brief stint. Being immersed in the city's thriving art scene, Shannon eventually began to feel the pull back to fine art and started a series of photo realistic studies to firm up her techniques of media ranging from oils to photography to digital art.

Shannon continued to expand her work in the digital art realm through 3D modeling and texturing. She has created 3D assets for a wide range of client projects, including VR games, product visualization, pre-visualization for an animated film, and other interactive environments. Although the work exists within a virtual space, Shannon found the process of shaping form, surface and detail digitally to be every bit as artistically satisfying as working with oils on canvas.

Shannon has lived in San Francisco for over three decades and is continually amazed by the Bay Area’s vibrant culture and incredible natural beauty. Living in an area with such an abundance of art, music, and community never ceases to inspire her artistic endeavors.
